At home in Lancaster over the weekend I had the opportunity to take advantage of the beautiful weather and visit Union Mill Acres pumpkin farm.

People walked around, buying fall decorations and viewing a wide variety of pumpkins, gourds, asters, and indian corn.

A closer view of the fall decorations displays the rich colors and textures I observed. For me, autumn is really nostalgic.

The stacked pumpkins are held together by gravity only. Displaying variety and vibrancy, they are one of my favorite displays.

As a traditional farm family, the owners have a small herd of children who seem to be especially dirty and needy.

On the way out I thought about how much I liked fall, but also how short the season seems to be. As with every natural progression, even the best things come to an end eventually.
